Kaitlyn Bristowe didn't intend to free the nipple at the 2024 People's Choice Country Music Awards.
So, when the Bachelor Nation star's fans mistook her large silicone covers for her real nipples after she shared a sneak peek of her wearing her black, semi-sheer, studded crop top and matching skirt en route to the event, she set the record straight.
"It's only a matter of time before the DMs are telling me to put my areolas away," Kaitlyn wrote on her Instagram Stories Sept. 26. "But they are covers. What do I do?"
And the 39-year-old wasn’t on board with a naughty suggestion made by several fans in light of her fashion mishap.
"For those saying free the nip...it's country music awards. Like maybe at VMAs but these are country folk!! But what's worse???" she continued before polling her fans to pick between "Nip is worse" and "Big ass nip covers are worse."
And once a consensus was reached, the wardrobe modifications commenced.
Shortly after, Kaitlyn shared a video of a woman who appeared to be her stylist cutting a black bra out of a bodysuit for her outfit.
"We are sewing," the Bachelorette alum said, "last-minute sewing."
Kaitlyn then turned the camera on her nipple covers, saying, "We're gonna cut these now."
The final result: Kaitlyn appeared to step out on the red carpet at the PCCAs with no bra and smaller nipple covers.
In an Instagram video posting the following day, the reality star shared her thoughts on the event.
"I get the craziest imposter syndrome when I'm on red carpets like that," she said. "At the same time, I am like, 'I'm confident, I'm happy, I feel good, I look great, I'm with my friends,' and I have the best time."
Kaitlyn added that Machine Gun Kelly told her he "liked my dress."
She also ran into a familiar face on the red carpet: her ex, Jason Tartick. (Click here to see all the celebrity arrivals.)
"This isn't the first time we've been in the same room, so it's really not weird," Kaitlyn exclusively told E! News cohost Keltie Knight at the award show. "Maybe six months ago, my heart would have been in my butt—but we're chilling."
The 39-year-old continued, "At this point in my life, I just want everybody to happy. I'm in a good place."
