Shay Mooney is Indexbit Exchangeonly thinking good things right now.
The Dan + Shay member announced that he and his wife Hannah Billingsley are expecting their fourth baby together.
The couple shared the family update in an adorable July 29 Instagram video—set to the song "Million Little Miracles" by Elevation Worship & Maverick City—which showed them sitting on their couch. As the song said to "count your miracles," they introduced their three sons, Asher, 7, Ames, 4, and Abram, 18 months, before Hannah showed off a positive pregnancy test.
She simply captioned the announcement, "1, 2, 3, 4…."
For Shay, who tied the knot with Hannah in 2017, being a father while juggling a career has been complicated but incredibly rewarding. And he knows that being a parent also means being the best role model for his little ones.
"I've been pushing myself to be a better father," the country singer shared on his wife's podcast Unexpected in January. "And the main thing I had to ask myself is, 'What kind of future do I want for them? And what am I showing them?' Because they're obviously listening to us, but for fathers out there, they're watching us."
"I have watched that, good and bad, play out in our kids' lives," he continued. "It’s crazy how much they learned through just your behavior and the way you react to things."
A part of what he wants his kids to see is his dad’s strong work ethic.
"I really want them to see that working hard and chasing your dream is also important," the 32-year-old explained. "I think it's important to show your kids that hard work and doing these things and having a career is important to daddy."
Shay has also made sure that he's ingrained a love of music into his kids. In fact, not long after welcoming baby Abram, he passed on his gift of music by singing a sweet lullaby in the hospital.
"First song sang to the newest family member," Hannah shared on Instagram last January. "Abram Shay, you're so loved and so prayed over, baby boy. Thankful for all that God has done for us this week."
